A PhD researcher with a professional interest in Emergency Management, my current research considers data practices in relation to the construction of scientific knowledge about radiation contamination. My PhD thesis will use data from ethnographic fieldwork in Fukushima, Japan to explore standards, methods, practices, expertise etc. When not researching I work in Emergency Management helping all sorts of organisations plan for and respond better to emergencies and crises.
