I am associate professor (BOF) with the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology (KU Leuven University) and honorary research fellow at the Department of African Studies & Anthropology at the University of Birmingham (UK). My main research interests are in popular culture and technology. I am committed to using the anthropological tools of in-depth fieldwork in order to explore the social and symbolic contexts of people's life worlds.
