Kathrin Eitel is a cultural and social anthropologist, political and historical scientist. After her graduation from Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg and her study abroad at Istanbul Technique University in Istanbul, she was working as a research associate at the study program “Metropolitan Cultures” at HafenCity University in Hamburg, before she came to Frankfurt. Since January 2017 Kathrin Eitel is now supporting the Institute for Cultural Anthropology and European Ethnology at Goethe-University Frankfurt. Her dissertation project focused on recyclable waste management practices in the urban area of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
