As an intern for EcoGovLab, I have had the privilege of working on diverse projects that touch upon environmental justice (EJ) and community well-being. Much of my work involves utilizing the EiJ global record and applying it specifically in Orange County, California.
Additionally, I've been actively working with the public-facing aspect of the Environmental Injustice Global Record within the Disaster STS network. I am passionate about how this platform connects worldwide researchers dedicated to understanding, anticipating, and responding to disasters. With this network, I have been actively involved in projects essential for maintaining and disseminating crucial information regarding environmental issues and their impact on communities.
In particular, my work with the EcoGovLab team has focused on issues related to air quality and the initiatives of the California Air Resources Board, CalEPA, South Coast AQMD, and other government organizations. This has contributed to a more comprehensive understanding of communities' challenges regarding environmental justice and air quality.
