Based in Indonesia, Amalia has been working as research in (UCoE – ARC HPSI AJCUI) since 2019. Holds master's degrees in social policy for development from International Institute of Social Studies (ISS), Erasmus University (the Netherlands) and in women's studies from the University of Indonesia, she has been involved in research projects and advocacy on sexual and reproductive health rights, including HIV and AIDS program.
She is also a member of safe abortion working group in Indonesia and PurpleCode Collective—a collective working towards a feminist internet.
