Critical Commentary

This brief report on New York city's energy consumption rates details how mitigation responses to COVID-19 have contributed to overall drops in commercial energy demands. To note, even despite increases in residential household energy consumption, overall electricity consumption has dropped 13% from pre-COVID-19 shelter-in-place (or COVID-19 mitigation) efforts.
