Critical Commentary

St. John the Baptist Parish Council voted 8-0 to rezone 1,300 acres of Whitney Plantation in Wallace from residential to industrial. Article lists Formosa's promises to the community as well as its poor environmental track record. Carl Baloney of River Area Planning Group and Luke Fontana of Save Our Wetlands were ejected from council chambers due to their outbursts, though much of the crowd was unruly.
