DAY TWO TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3: Petrochemical Labor

On this day we will discover the Anthropocene through different site visits and conversations around petrochemical labor. Industrial production, work, community action, health, and partnership all mark out the areas of concern.  Meetings and fieldwork organized with Christopher Oliver and the Louisiana Environmental Action Network

8:30am Depart New Orleans

10:15-11:45 Shintech Plant, Plaquemine, LA

11:45-1:15pm Travel River Road between Plaquemine and Reserve, LA

1:15-2:30pm Lunch in Reserve, LA

2:30-4:30pm Discussion with Concerned Citizens of St. John’s

6:00pm Arrive in New Orleans
