DTSC: Organization Structure

DTSC's leadership is headed by Meredith Williams who serves as the agency's director. She was appointed by Governor Newsom on December 19, 2019. Second in charge is Francesca Negri who serves as the Cheif Deputy DIrector. 

There are multiple other deputy directors but for this essays purpose I will focus on Rizgar Ghazi who serves as the Hazardous Waste Management Program Deputy Director. This position is important as it deals hazardous waste affecting Californians.

It is important to note that DTSC has two vacant positions, Environmental Equity Deputy Director and Tribal Liason. Two positions that are critical to upkeeping strong community engagement.
